1st Dilemma – Jump Q

Hello,

It’s me again. Today, i would like to tell a “small little” dilemma of most Malaysians–Jump Q.

The story happened in a very prestigious institution here. One day, I went into the general office for some acquirements. When I went into the office, there were 3 students queuing at the counter. The other 2 were standing at the corner reading a notice. So, I started queuing and waited patiently for my turn. FYI, the receptionist was of the same race with the other 5 girls in the office. You know how do they  test your patience?

They were dealing with some clarifications of examination slips with the counter. Well, the first girl in the queue took 5 minutes checking on her names, sign, and tear off the slip, while talking with her friends. Pooh! Thats tolerable.

The second one took 5 minutes to search for her name, and another 5 minutes to sign her name! That is really pissing me off already! But, i can see that the third girl actually noticed my emotion and tried to finish hers within 5 minutes. Really appreciate her “hard work”…

You think I was about to get to my turn, aren’t you? NO! Just as i was about to move forward, the other two girls who stood at the corner came to pad on their “friends’ ” shoulder, and started a 5 minutes chat about nonsense like ” long time no see…” sort of that. I thought that’s all, but they “continued queuing  before me and started to clarify their slips there! Right in front of me! One of them smiled at me some more! The worse thing is—the receptionist showed no notice (or pretend?) of them jumping queue.

They both took 15 minutes to check with their names and slips!!!

Imagine, check name, sign, tear slip. Just 3 easy steps, took 5 persons 40 minutes to do it! When it reached my turn, i took merely 2 minutes to complete the task. The notice “please queue” posted on the counter serves no purpose at all!

Well, This is Malaysia!!!
